Founded in London in 1999, Jellycat is a premium plush toy brand known for its luxuriously soft, whimsical designs. Over the years, it has become a global lifestyle brand, especially popular among Millennials and Gen Z who collect plushies not only as toys, but also as self-care essentials, home décor, and gifts.
Competitors like Squishmallows, Aurora, and Gund had already tapped into the collector’s mindset by offering exclusives and community engagement. Jellycat’s challenge was to go beyond seasonal drops and pop-up events, and build a loyalty + retention strategy that kept collectors engaged long after the first purchase
